Gelion is at the forefront of eco-friendly battery technology. The company develop next-generation zinc-based battery technologies for EVs, aircraft and stationary applications.
The Challenge
Gelion needed a website that repositioned them from a start-up with breakthrough technology to an energy solutions provider.
My role
Senior copywriter responsible for translating the highly technical lingo into layman's terms to captivate investors and the media - key target audiences.
Daily meetings with the lab team and weekly interviews with chief scientist and founder, Prof Thomas Maschmeyer ensured no particles were out of place in my translation.
Results
The new website repositioned Gelion from a 'start-up with breakthrough technology' to an 'energy solutions provider'.
Highly scientific language from the lab was successfully translated into engaging content easily understood by their target audience of investors, e.g: Ionblox partnership
As well as delivering captivating science-based copy (oxymoron alert!), I helped create a series of animations and infographics to further explain the intricacies of this groundbreaking science.
